The East Africa region, that comprises several regional states, occupies an important position in the regional and international political economy. The regions’ geo-strategic significance often determines the nature and structure of sovereign states relations among themselves and with the international community. Despite the crucial role the region has been playing in the global political economy, however, East Africa has occupied a marginal position in the study of IR. This course, entitled International Relations of the East Africa, primarily focuses on how regional states interact with the international socio-economic and political order. The first section of the course deals about the place of Africa in the international relations study. Decolonization and independence movements amongst East African states and East Africa and the Cold War East-West rivalry will be presented under the second and third sections. The fourth chapter presents neo-Colonialism and East African states economic and political sovereignty. Conflict and cooperation amongst East African states is discussed under the fifth chapter. The sixth part deals about the road towards a united Africa and the role of East African states. The last two sections examined East Africa and the ‘war on terrorism and the Geo-politics of East African states respectively.
Afrika Vakfı 2015 yılında Afrika üzerine eğitim ve araştırmalar yapan Ankara merkezli bir sivil toplum örgütü olarak faaliyetlerine başladı.
Ortadoğu Vakfı, Ortadoğu ile ilgili sosyal, ekonomik, kültürel, siyasi ve diğer alanlarda faaliyetler yürütmek ve çalışmaları desteklemek amacı ile 2015 yılında Ankara’da kurulmuştur.
